Cocoa360 “Motorcycles for Midwives”

Fancy has been an enthusiastic supporter of Cocoa360 an organization in Tarkwa Bremen, Ghana that supports a tuition-free girls school, a health clinic, and a cocoa farm. In this rural community, some families live miles and miles away, making coming to the clinic all but impossible during late pregnancy and allowing potential complications to go undetected. So we rallied the troops, spreading the word organically to raise money to buy the midwives a motorcycle. Our community came through in a big way raising over twice our goal, so we could purchase two motorcycles, helmets, and reflective vests for the midwives. The founder told us we literally changed their method of care from reactive to proactive, helping them save more lives.

The Good Stuff: organic social campaign
